Meaningful Engagement in Dementia Care

This workshop will guide you through the importance of meaningful engagement.
 
Learn how to best engage the person through activities which are purposeful and pleasurable using a strength based approach.
 
You will have the opportunity to:
  • Explore the importance of identifying individual needs of people living with dementia
  • Examine the relationship of meaningful engagement to well being
  • Develop a plan of suitably engaging activities for a person living with dementia.

People who are interested in providing good person centred care and are working in the community, or in residential care, who are supporting persons with dementia.
