Communicating in a Person-Centred Way

Good communication skills are essential in providing support to people living with dementia and their carer.  As each person is impacted in a different way, having a broad range of effective communication strategies to utilise in your workplace is essential.
You will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain a greater understanding of how dementia can impact on communication
  • Develop strategies to support a person-centred approach to communication
